STRENGTHS/ POTENTIALS OF THE COMPANY

To run a successful business, you should regularly analyse your processes to ensure you are operating as efficiently as possible. While there are numerous ways to assess your company, one of the most effective methods is to conduct a SWOT analysis. Strengths refer to internal factors, which are the resources and experience readily available to the organization. These are some commonly considered internal factors for example, location, facilities and equipment.

Strengths is the element that addresses things that your company or project does especially well. This could be something intangible, such as your company’s brand attributes, or something more easily defined such as the unique selling proposition of a particular product line. It could also be your people, your literal human resources: strong leadership, or a great engineering team. Al-Ilmi Travel Agency strengths is that they provide a low budget umrah package as low as RM4990 compared to other travel agency where they put a price for Umrah package around RM5950. Additionally, Al-Ilmi also offer an Umrah Package includes Jordan and Baitulmaqdis at a price for only RM8470 per adult.

Al-Ilmi Travel Agency also hold a motto “Pelancongan Murah Lagi Berkualiti” which is meaning Travel with cheap price but high quality. Therefore, in Umrah package Al-Ilmi also provide an expert Mutawwif that had been appointed by the Ministry to guide for the needs, saftey and well-being of Hajj pilgrims. Furthermore, all participants will be given adequate courses before traveling and each Umrah Package will be accompanied by an experienced Religious Teacher as Umrah Guide before heading to destination. To enhance the experience of Al Ilmi’s participants, they get a chance to enjoy a picnic in the desert with a local traditional Arab food.

However, Al-Ilmi did not cover branches for all state in Malaysia and Ampang is for only Headquarters. Al-Ilmi only have 3 branches which is in Hulu Langat and Kota Bharu. Therefore, for opportunities analysis Al-Ilmi should open their branch for all state to compete with other travel agency. It is because Al-Ilmi had a great opportunity to competes for price as well as quality service. Furthermore, Al-Ilmi should focus on domestic’s package whereas Al-Ilmi did not provide it. According to the person in charge, they did not plan anything on domestics, but they focus more on Europe tour. Therefore, Al-Ilmi should have grab the opportunities to attract domestics travellers who wanted to use Al-Ilmi services in terms of domestic tours.


STRATEGIES/ APPROACHED APPLIED BY THE COMPANY TO SURVIVE IN THIS INDUSTRY


          Strategies is needed for organization to be able to achieve goals. Therefore, strategies are important to an association since it can provide a general vital course to the administration of the association and provides a particular guidance to territories like monetary system, promoting methodology, authoritative improvement technique and HR procedure, to make progress in execution. 

            According to the interview, Al-Ilmi stated that they actively promote their packages through websites, advertisement, brochure or any social media platform. Therefore, these kinds of promotion often used by any organization in order to gain profit and sell their packages to the clients. Al-Ilmi also stated that they held an event through their social media such as yearly luck draw, free gift according to their umrah packages in order to attract client’s attention. Additionally, Al-Ilmi often use social media to do free courses every Saturday or Sunday through broadcast live via FB LIVE. It is convenient for participants who did not have time to attend courses before they go for umrah.

            Next, Al-Ilmi also uses a common strategy where they are lowering their price packages to compete with other travel agency. In fact, Al-Ilmi provides an umrah cheapest budget packages which is more affordable compared to other travel agency and these kinds of package is not provided by any travel agency. Additionally, pricing strategies play such an important role to compete because normally, customers tend to find the best prices and to fulfil basic needs and wants simultaneously.
